We welcome a powerfully built son of Redoute’s Choice from the Starcraft mare Tango, a dam from a long line of stakes winners.
In short, this colt has a stallion’s pedigree if he can win the right races for us. The Australian breeding industry sadly lost the great Redoute’s Choice in 2019 and his son’s will now be sought after as replacements at stud; I thought this colt was one of the absolute best examples of his sire at the Gold Coast sale.
Our colt’s dam comes from a female family littered with Group performers including three superstar French gallopers; the great Peintre Celbre, a multiple G1 winner and successful sire, 2019 French Guineas winner Persian King, and G1 winner Planteur.
This is a brut of an animal, he’s such a beast I initially thought he’d be out of our reach, but thankfully circumstances played in our favour and late on the Saturday night session we were able to land him at an absolute bargain price; this horse has all the presence in the world and a walk that only the good ones possess.
