Rudhyar Gets The Winning Taste Again

Enigmatic galloper Rudhyar returned to the winners list today after a frustrating run of outs.

It’s been a while between drinks courtesy of some bad luck mixed with unsuitable tracks and tougher opposition but the son of the mighty Sea The Stars put it all together this afternoon at Ballarat and will derive the confidence which had been eluding him.

Jockey Johnny Allen let him balance up behind the pace then brought him to the outside to make his run. Mindful that he can have a bit of a think about things, Johnny made sure he had a full head of steam up and that was enough to ensure a clear margin to the line.

The 8yo looks as though he still has plenty to give and now at peak fitness having been up a while, he should be competitive when we head to Moonee Valley with him in the near future.

Congratulations to his ownership group: Mr L Smith, Mr R G Bayliss, Mr M R Bayliss, Mr S J Glare, Mr A M Lennan, Mr K Fowles, Mr L J Pickering, Mr T Salom, Mr J F Brady, The Emerald Eighteen, Mr J B Cary, Mr M D Stephenson, Mr D T Kane, Mr M Warburton, Mr P J Warburton and Mr A J Rosano
